Techstars Tokyo is a three-month acceleration program for Japanese startups aiming for global expansion and for international startups. The program selects 12 seed-stage startups, each receiving a $120,000 investment from a fund created by Techstars.

At this event, we invited Yuki Shirato, the Managing Director of Techstars Tokyo, an accelerator by one of the world's largest pre-seed investors. Following a presentation of the program, we participated in a talk session with globally active Japanese entrepreneurs from the first cohort and other guests involved in the startup ecosystem. We candidly shared our views on the differences between Japanese and U.S. venture capital!
